Who pays for the PPE that OSHA rules require you to wear on the job?
The employer, at no cost to workers, with a few exceptions.
- The employer ✔
- The worker
- OSHA
Why: OSHA says required protective equipment is provided by the employer at no cost to employees. The employer also pays to replace it unless the worker lost it or damaged it on purpose.
Huh, didn't know that: Everyday clothing and weather gear like winter coats and sunscreen are not on the employer's bill.
