How do I make a deck?
Sign in with a verified email, go to /make/, upload photos or a PDF of your study guide with its answers (up to 20 pages, 25 MB), name it, pick a subject and grade, and tap Make my deck. You can make one per week (AhaBulb members one a day), and it becomes a public card deck with a share code.
Upload your study guide, get your own card deck your class can play with a code.
- Sign in with an email we have checked (a code or Google). Guests are asked to sign in first. Kids under 13 sign in with their PIN after a parent sets them up.
- Go to /make/.
- Add photos of the pages (JPG, PNG or iPhone HEIC) or a PDF. Up to 20 pages and 25 MB. Include the page with the answers.
- Name it (no names of people, please), pick a subject and a grade.
- Tick the boxes: it's OK to share, and it will be public.
- Tap Make my deck. We email you when it's ready.
How it works:
- The answer key is the boss. We never guess answers. A guide with no answers can't become a deck.
- Each card has three choices and a joke after every answer.
- One deck per person per week, or one a day for AhaBulb members. A photo retake, or a guide turned down for having no answers, doesn't use up your week.
- Some months we reach our budget for making decks. Then yours waits in line, and we tell you the date.
- See who played. My decks on /me/ and your deck's page list who played it (AhaBulb names, never emails) and how they did.
- Print 50 cards free. Tap 🖨️ Print 50 cards free for your deck's first 50 cards as index cards to cut out, with the answer upside down at the bottom.
Photo tips: lay the page flat in good light, hold the phone straight above it and get all four corners in.
